Model 41-04 Non-Slam Check Valve is a hydraulically operated diaphragm valve with open and close velocity control. When the pressure at the inlet exceeds the opening pressure, the valve will open gradually and slowly to prevent the surge. When a pressure reversal occurs, liquid will enter the air chamber of the valve to close the valve and form a tight seal.
This valve is especially suitable to use where a positive shutoff is required. The rubber disc assures tight sealing. The simple valve design insures reliable.

Model 41-04 Non-Slam Check Valve is installed at the discharge of booster pumps to prevent return flow into the tank when pump is off. Pressure relief valve as shown can effectively prevent surge when pump stops.
